Jason Payan established the firm 11 years ago and has been providing quality, personalized financial guidance to domestic and international clients in all aspects related to U.S. income taxation. Jason D. Payan specializes in income tax planning, research and structuring for corporations, partnerships and individuals. In the last 18 years, he has served clients in the areas of Real Estate Development, Homebuilding, Restaurant Operations, Golf Course Operations, and Gaming. He has six years public accounting experience in Big 4 Public Accounting and is a graduate of the University of Nevada, Las Vegas with a Masters in Taxation. Additionally, he is a member of the Nevada Society of CPAs and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
Melissa has worked in the public and private accounting sectors for over 18 years, specializing in income tax preparation for individuals and businesses. She also has extensive knowledge of financial statement preparation, budgeting and forecasting, and financial analysis. She has worked on clients in the Gaming, Real Estate, Education, and Retail Industries. She started her career at a Big 4 Accounting Firm after graduating from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas with a bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Business Administration.
Wade has extensive experience in the fields of business income tax, individual income tax, IRS examination representation and compliance, and accounting software assistance. Some of the industries in which he has served clients are Real Estate, Construction, Investment Companies, Medical Professionals, Gaming, and Food/Beverage. Wade graduated from the University of Wyoming and has two bachelor’s degrees in Accounting and Business Administration. He is a member of the Nevada Society of CPAs and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
Alba serves as a Tax Associate for Payan & Payan CPAs. She is responsible for preparation of individual income tax returns, small business payroll and foreign client liaison. As a Certified Acceptance Agent, she facilitates ITIN applications as well. Alba is a native of Tirana, Albania. Prior to joining Payan & Payan CPAs, she served as an Administrative Assistant for the VA-MD College of Veterinary Medicine at Virginia Tech. She is a graduate of Brigham Young University in Economics and Math. Alba enjoys spending her free time with her two children.
Brian specializes in income tax planning and FIRPTA consulting for the disposition of U.S. real property interests by foreign individuals, businesses, and trusts. He has served as a tax associate at Payan & Payan, CPAs since moving to the valley in 2015. Brian has 12 years of experience preparing federal and state income tax returns for individuals, corporations, and partnerships. He is currently working toward obtaining a Masters in Taxation from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas and becoming a licensed CPA. In his spare time, he is an avid hiker, golfer and a Boston sports fanatic.
Noreen has assisted executives throughout her career in many different business fields including Real Estate, Medical, Accounting, and Legal. Early in her career she worked as an executive secretary to a partner at Ernst & Young accounting firm in her hometown of Chicago. As a licensed Realtor since 2003, Noreen has experience in real estate sales and property management. At Payan & Payan CPAs she works as a liaison between clients and office staff as well as helping to ensure efficient day to day operation of the office.
Deborah provides administrative support to Payan & Payan CPA’s team. Deborah is a Maine native and has worked in the accounting community as an Administrative Assistant and Office Manager for over 30 years. She has extensive experience with all administrative tasks and is able to tailor her skills to meet the needs of various clients. It is to no surprise that during her professional career she has received the affectionate title of Manager of First Impressions. In her free time, she enjoys knitting, reading and is a connoisseur of all things Christmas, her favorite time of year.
